The Community Health Organizers (CHO) are a group of peer educators dedicated to providing accurate health information, fostering open and safe environments, debunking assumptions, and reaching out to diverse communities on and surrounding the Smith campus. The group’s continuing goal is to ensure awareness of current and longstanding issues in health through interactive teaching, workshops, and conversations on topics such as sexual health/sexuality, alcohol and other drugs, sexual assault/relationship violence prevention and overall wellness (positive body image, stress, nutrition, sleep, etc...). Community Health Organizers are student volunteers who are affiliated with and supported by Smith's Health and Wellness Services, specifically the Wellness Services office. Also specifically assigned to work on social media our presence on instagram involving three posts per week regarding various wellness topics and resources.
