Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked in every area of IT. I've developed applications and user interfaces, administered servers, designed networks, and implemented security architectures. I’ve led global teams on multi-year projects and small swat teams that fixed problems in a few hours. I've created training materials on numerous security-related topics and presented then to packed auditoriums. The key to success in all of these endeavors is good communications. When everyone has the same understanding and same goal in mind, it’s amazing how well the results turn out. My biggest strength is the ability to explain complex technical information in terms that non-geeks can easily understand. I have the rare ability to bridge gaps that exist between business needs, technology possibilities, and security requirements.
