The Huang Fellows Program trains students to understand science in the context of and in service to society. Through their participation in the program, Fellows learn how to integrate ethics, policy, and social implications into their scientific research. This highly selective program fosters a community of accomplished undergraduate scholars who will be trained in the sciences and grounded firmly in the liberal arts–and who will be well prepared to serve as leaders in sciences and the biomedical professions.

At the Co-Lab I help maintain a fleet of 75 3D printers at Duke's three makerspaces. I train students, faculty, and staff on how to use 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and more.

One of 25 summer research interns selected from an applicant pool of 300. For the summers of 2016 and 2017, I was assigned to Dr. Pandey, Distinguished Professor in charge of a Photodynamic Therapy lab at RPCC.I successfully investigated whether conjugating a sugar molecule with a cancer drug would increase the efficacy of that drug in question tricking the cancer cell to eat the sugar. The process involved my measuring drug efficacy using tetrazolium salts (MTT). The summers culminated with me formally presenting my findings to researcher committee consisting of leaders in the field. In 2016, my research poster was awarded the 1st prize by the committee.
