I have been with the development of a ‘Back Office Software’, targeted for the stockbrokerage houses. Surface view of the system I am playing with:-- Being developed from February 2012, connected to a SQL server which contains data ofover 40,000 clients, being used from branches across the country.-- WCF live sync service inserts transaction data from DSE (Dhaka Stock Exchange) sharetrading system and then updates http://globedse.com/ in real time; daily transactionalamount is BDT 60 million on an average.-- Can produce huge types of reports (like Client Ledger, Portfolio, Income Statement,Financial Ledger Balance, General Journal etc) to cater the needs of a financialorganization.My noteworthy contribution to this project:-- Gained extensive domain knowledge on capital market and learned how to convert theminto software domain.-- Analyzed, designed, implemented, tested (Unit Testing and Integration Testing),deployed and maintained IPO (Initial Public Offering) segment of the system. This iscompletely a new integration and took me almost 8 months.-- Worked on ‘Client Management’, ‘File Import’, ‘Password Management’, ‘ClientPayment’ and ‘Client Receipt’ modules with the teammates.-- Worked on ‘SQL Server Performance Tuning and Data Access Optimization’ andbrought smiles on clients’ faces.-- Worked on a WCF service named ‘WcfWebDataUpdater’.
