Part of the Executive team responsible for the functioning of the society, including conduction of Kharagpur Winter of Code (KWoC) '22, various workshops/seminars/other offline events, selections, and so on.

- Task/Teaching Round 2021: Gave a presentation on Memory Management and Garbage Collection in which I discussed the memory model of C and Rust. Also compared various Garbage Collection techniques like Mark-Sweep & Reference Counting and discussed their use in languages like Python, Go, and Java.- Lightning Talks 2021: Delivered a lightning talk on Design Patterns and Principles.- GSoC Introductory Seminar 2022: Primary speaker at the hour-long seminar and host for Q/A session.

Worked on the Compositional Zero Shot Learning under Prof. Muhammad Zeshan Afzal and Prof. Didier Stricker.- Replicated a CVPR 2021 paper using Graph Convolutional Networks for image classification via graph embedding- Ideated and experimented with the use of Transformers to advance the state-of-the-art in the CZSL problem

- Axiom Debate Open 2021 (International online tournament, Philippines): Open Quarter-finalist- Maggu Room Memorial Debate 2021 (Freshers Tournament): Tournament Winner, Second Best Speaker- Involved in various society functions including fresher & senior selection interviews and training.

- Performed 3D reconstruction with a stereo vision setup using OpenCV. Used Tensorflow to fit a parametric model to the detected 3D points. Implemented in a modular fashion as independent ROS nodes.- Performed Face Tracking using a pre-trained Caffe model based on the Single Shot MultiBox Detector.- Implemented and tuned a Kalman Filter to filter erroneous values and localize a drone in 3D space.- Partially implemented a Deep Q-Learning Agent using Tensorflow to train in an OpenAI Gym environment.- Performed C++ optimization using vectorization and concepts like locality of reference. Also implemented various pathfinding algorithms like A* & its variants and compared their performance.

I underwent multiple rounds of selection and was one of 36 associates selected from a batch of ~1900 freshers in my first semester at IIT Kharagpur. As part of the club, I performed the following:- Attended 14 Knowledge Meets to develop skills in the fields of Business Strategy, Finance, and Analytics.- Participated in the Business Club Intra Case Challenge 2021.- Participated in and qualified for the second round of the GYWS Adhhyayan Social Innovation Challenge 2021, under the guidance of club seniors.

StraightZero is an online education and testing platform for cracking civil services exams in India. I co-developed the entire platform in a 2-person team and worked on Backend, Database, Security, and Infrastructure. I worked extensively with technologies such as Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, JavaScript, AJAX, AWS S3, DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, and many others to develop:- a live test-taking platform- a smooth payment system using the PayUMoney API, and- a notes + supplementary material upload & access system currently hosting 1000+ files

As a CTF and CS enthusiast, I co-developed an online platform for hosting cryptic hunts.I worked on backend, database, and architecture using technologies like Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Javascript. Cloudflare was used for asset caching + DDoS protection, and Heroku as a PaaS. I also worked on creating puzzles and publicising the events.Over the course of 3 years, we organized 4 events and accumulated a user base of 250+ students from all over India.

As the President of NODE, the Technology Club of DPS Gurgaon, I oversaw various activities and ensured the smooth functioning of the club. More specifically, I performed the following:- Organised Betanode 2019 Training Workshops, which comprised of several day-long workshops on various fields of technology. - Conducted the programming workshop and taught animation in p5.js along with an introduction to OOP.- Organized selections for future members of the club.- Organized teams and delegations from the school for various interschool events.

As the Secretary of the Technology Club, I was an organizing member of Alphanode 2018, the annual interschool Techfest and Symposium, and helped conduct Decodenode 2018, the flagship event. I also participated in several interschool competitions and won accolades such as:- 2nd place in Competitive Programming, IT@CUTTINGEDGE (National level inter-DPS techfest).- 1st place, The Turing Test (national-level computational linguistics), Exun 2018, DPS RK Puram.- 1st place, dCrypt (CTF event) and 2nd place, nVenture (hackathon), nCrypt 2018, DPS Sushant Lok.- 2nd Place, Beg Borrow Steal (robotics), DPS Noida 2018.- 1st place, Verbal Gladiator (group discussion), eColosseum 2018, DAV School.- 3rd place, AppTech (app development and presentation), Indraprastha iON 2018.

Project Harmony was a non-profit community-based dispute resolution and problem-solving initiative. Our aim was to leverage wisdom of the crowd to solve disputes and add a new layer to the overburdened judicial system in India. This layer would enable low-value matters to be effectively dealt with, without any cost of litigation - monetary or time/energy. The idea was later expanded into a general discussion forum to develop solutions for problems faced by members of the society in their daily lives. We developed a prototype android app and pitched it at the IILM Young Citizen Award for Social Innovation.I worked on app development and pitching. Additionally, I designed the logo for Project Harmony and was a part of the ideation process.
