K-8 Curriculum Design, Scope and Sequence development of African-American History course work with an emphasis on the African Diaspora. Course work is heavily project based, requiring students to work both collaboratively with classroom peers as well as their larger community. Course is comprehensive based with focus on Geography, Governance, Social Justice and Political Science.

●Leading Middle School Instructor in an African-Centered academic curriculum. ●Part of a departmentalized Middle School cross-curriculum teaching team.●Create and develop classroom instruction with a focus on reading comprehension using the Illinois Common Core Standards.

●Created and implemented engaging lesson planning to urban youth ages 16-20, using state of Illinois Board of Education standards in addition to social studies common core standards.●Facilitated and taught United States History, African-American History, Caribbean and Latin American History to high schools students ranging in grades 9-12. ●Co-taught and designed secondary education curriculum within a data driven academic setting.

●Researched housing market for Fortune 500 publishing company targeting large land developers, construction contractors, city and municipalities, as well as potential lenders and home buyers. ●Tracked and evaluated large housing developments in several diverse markets. ●Collected key data sets containing essential variables such as plan level pricing, size sales, inventory, and buyer profiles.

●Performed comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and prepare individualized treatment plans and discharge plans in a residential drug rehabilitation facility. ●Facilitated both individual and group lead therapy/counseling session in an effort to strengthen and reacclimate into society without the abuse of illegal substances.

●Youth advocate, recruiter and trainer of Chicago urban youth. Students went on to create academic support groups at top tiered colleges and universities in an effort to increase minority enrollment, retention, and graduation rates.●Facilitated both large and small group activities, created and developed work shops that engaged not only students but university faculty and staff as well.● Implemented workshops at ✯University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, IL), ✯DePauw University (Greencaslte, IN) and ✯Carleton College (Northfield, MN).

●Implemented theme based curriculum instructional activities and assessment rubrics to quantify student educational progress.●Designed and taught ACT prep test taking skills workshop. ●Encouraged students to strengthen their reading comprehension skills through poetry reading/creative writing workshop that I created and developed.
