At STEMblem, our mission is simple - to inspire underprivileged youth to see themselves as the future cohort of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians. Through hands-on project-based learning, virtual webinars, and dedicated in-person mentorship, we ignite the fire of lifelong passion for discovery and innovation, so that by the end of the day, students across the county, state, and nation will dust off their badge of honor, and proudly pin the emblem that represents the potential of STEM application in their everyday lives.Have impacted 275+ kids and hosted 8 workshops since August 2024. Ecoolair is a community project that recognizes and addresses the current disparities in the comforts of a cool home within the US. Repurposing the many discarded- yet usable- PC fans and solar panels, Ecoolair creates solar-powered fans and strives to ensure their fair and affordable distribution.Working with 15+ partners, and have reached over 10,000 interested parties.

Fosters personal development and career opportunities in STEM through various activities and competitions, in charge of representing over 500 youth.

Creates social media presence and collaborates with other organizations/entities to raise awareness. - Regularly meets up with board members to discuss potential implications/strategies to undertake. - Goes on weekly environmental scans in local gas stations/convenience stores.- Hosts an annual video contest to combat substance misuse in society.- Primary author of upcoming paper addressing vape accessibility amongst high schoolers.

Project: Detecting Metal Contaminants in Soil Using Atomic Emission Spectroscopy - Conducted extensive surveys of over 200 plots of land in St. Joseph County.- Developed an innovative procedure for the detection of Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Manganese (Mn), and Lead (Pb) using atomic emission spectroscopy.- Optimized detection methods to improve accuracy and efficiency in trace element analysis.- Finalized comprehensive report and co-authored a scholarly article, contributing to advancements in environmental monitoring.

Project: Visualizing ATP Detection Through Electrochromic SensorsExecuted calibration tests to calibrate and optimize the sensor's performance. Through chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry experiments on the potentiostat, I studied the relationships between voltage and current for electrochromic detection through Methyl viologen (MV), the base liquid of my runs, enabling me to identify and rectify issues related to the readout cell component. Used ImageJ as primary software to analyze data, determining the sensor's sensitivity to MV concentrations and its electrochemical response characteristics. Regularly met up with mentor weekly to discuss findings. At the end of my internship, compiled all the relevant experimental data, analysis, and observations into a comprehensive report. This facilitated the identification of patterns, trends, and potential correlations that could be further explored in future experiments. Presented in front of current graduate students and professors. Contributed to poster shown at Summer Symposium at Notre Dame.

Collaborated with a Notre Dame professor to design a project that utilized components of mental health and natural language processing. Worked to optimize a GPT-3 model to be implemented within suicidal ideation platforms to produce respective responses to posts portraying distress. Employed advanced skills in Python, data analytics, and user interface design.Presented findings amongst several professors and postdoctoral graduates, assessing and evaluating model for further refinement. Presented at Notre Dame fair, and discussed implications within real-world settings with professionals in the technological industry.
