Through the MDP-IFAD Win-Win programme, I was associated as an independent researcher with the Integrated Livelihood Support Project (ILSP), an IFAD and state government supported project in the hill districts of Uttarakhand, India. My study analysed the well-being of women in project as well as non-project areas. It explores women's well-being and the adopted development trajectory, through the lens of Amartya Sen's capability approach. The first component of the project, 'Food Security and Livelihood Enhancement' is being implemented by the Uttarakhand Gramya Vikas Samiti (UGVS), which was the host organization for this research.

Part of the core team for a technology-based social entrepreneurship project on SDG 12: Responsible Production & Consumption. Key roles included identifying overlaps between conceptual frameworks, market research trends on responsible purchases, and India’s international commitments; social media campaigning and blog writing.

Worked as a Peer Educator in the NGO's Blending Spectrum programme, teaching life skills to children between 8-11 years of age. I worked towards the programme’s aim of building rights-based and youth-led enabling environments for children from low-income communities. The objective was to develop the leadership and life skills to challenge gender inequality, reduce levels of violence and discrimination, and develop practices that promote personal hygiene in their local communities, in addition to promoting access to vocational skill building and training opportunities for adolescents and young people. I was also part of the development and implementation of the curriculum and the lesson plans. Working with groups of varied sizes and with children of different levels of social adjustment and aptitude provided key opportunities for the practical application of theories and models studied during my Psychology major.
