My previous education and employment has set me up for success in any position I carry out, as I have gained valuable skills that will help me drive forward. A head for figures, I am able to scrutinize data effectively and draw valuable analysis from them. I have learnt the importance of paying close attention whilst dealing with people and figures, which has been bolstered through practical experience. Whilst working as a Summer Analyst, I strengthened my communications skills throughout my period there and my position as a section co-ordinator helped me build my interpersonal skills with customers and colleagues. Within both positions I have been an effective team player, listening attentively and being able to voice my opinions and ideas when appropriate. I hold a Ba Hons degree in Business and law and will be continuing my studies within this field when I begin my business studies later this year. I am able to balance work with studies and know the importance of meeting deadlines. University prepared me for this which has been positively reflected in my current position where it is important to complete tasks on time and to the best of my ability. Prior to my further education, I successfully gained 9 GCSE’s which included Mathematic and English at grade B. My current position requires me to be highly organised as I plan my tasks out carefully. My previous roles show my organisational skills at its fullest as it was important that I chased up all queries to ensure customer satisfaction. This meant that I always went the extra mile when solving problems for customers – never giving up easily. I successfully implemented methods my team currently use to organise how we carry out our work. If any member of the team is absent, a Microsoft document has been created with any vital information on the customers so everyone is aware and able to take over their work.
