With over 10 years of work experience in academia, journalism, and international relations, I am a passionate and qualified scholar of migration. I have a Ph.D. in U.S. history from Bilkent University, where I also completed my M.A. in the same field. I was a Fulbright fellow at Harvard University, where I conducted my doctoral research on immigrants from the Ottoman Empire and modern Turkey. As a visiting scholar at George Mason University, I conducted qualitative research on Turkish migration to the U.S. and Canada. I also have three years of experience as a journalist at Forum USA, where I covered political, social, and cultural issues affecting the Turkish-American community. I am proficient in English, Turkish, and fluent in Italian. I have multiple publications and presentations on Turkish migration to North America, and migration issues.
