About Isis Botelho
B.Sc. in Bioprocess Engineering at UFRJ and currently an Organism Engineer I at Ginkgo Bioworks. I have experience in proteomics, arboviral infections diagnostics, and molecular biology. As a student of the Programa de Vocação científica - FIOCRUZ, I worked on a project involving the expression of recombinant proteins from Mycobacterium bovis. As an undergraduate research student at the Proteomics Unit, IQ-UFRJ, I have participated in a project involving proteomic analysis of Zika virus infection using mass spectrometry. I'm a former member of the first university team of Synthetic Biology in RJ, named Osiris, which participated in iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition) in 2021 with a project focused on the serological detection of dengue infection. I have already worked as a Biotechnology intern at Senai Innovation Institute for Biosynthetic and Fibers. Passionate about Synthetic Biology, I'm interested in Science, Technology, and Innovation, mainly in the area of Industrial Biotechnology.
