During my PhD I worked on various projects in which supramolecular interactions play a key role. I explored the use of different supramolecular binding motifs for various applications such as biomaterials, MRI-contrast agents and meso-scale assembly for the development of smart materials. These materials were characterized both at the molecular scale as well as at the larger length scales with techniques including: NMR (DOSY and magic angle spinning NMR), IR, MS, confocal microscopy, dynamic and static light scattering and small-angle X-ray scattering.My responsibilities include the maintenance of a SAXS instrument, supervision of several bachelor and master students and I was involved in the first year organic chemistry course and several practical courses. I defended my thesis in 2015 and work since the beginning of 2015 as application specialist at SAXSLAB

During my work at Organon I did synthesis for the optimization of a new kinase inhibitor in the medicinal chemistry department.
