I'm a recent graduate from the University of Manchester. I have a First class degree in Politics & Sociology BA, and a Distinction in Sociology MA. I've worked as a Communications and Fundraising assistant at the charity Bishop Simeon Trust. I'm passionate about inspiring social change within communities. I am an ESRC 1+3 pathway award student, and started a PhD at the University of Sheffield in September 2021. My research explores the ways in which everyday multicultural space is lived, experienced and produced within a particular, post-industrial geography. It does so by critically mapping the ways in which space is practised and imagined “otherwise” amongst different migrant and ethnic minority communities Since starting my PhD, I carried on my commitment to Bishop Simeon Trust in my role as a Trustee until June 2023. I currently work for a charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers in an advice and advocacy role.
