ENRG is Edinburgh Napier’s student led, multi-media platform that covers Culture, Lifestyle, Politics and Sport, alongside its radio station and podcast department. I’ve been a part of ENRG since my first year of university and I’m so excited to have this opportunity in my third year. I’m so grateful to take on this role after so many incredible people. My job is to oversee the site, ensure everything is running smoothly and provide support to everyone involved. The job allows me to divulge into the roles of an Editor in a workforce, and lead a team of 12 editors, and ensure they are supported and they complete work to a high standard. I also have the ability to make changes, to help ENRG adapt to the ever changing digital age of Journalism, by introducing more multimedia content such as using instagram, tiktok and youtube. During my experience as Podcast Co-Manager, I was able to expand my knowledge on audio editing and marketing as-well as improve my management skills. Through the use of the program ‘Audacity’, I was able to co-edit 27 active podcasts and have them published in a timely manner. Which benefitted my timekeeping skills.
