Coding saved my life.I thought my dream was to move up the ranks of an Amazon warehouse or maybe become an AMCARE employee. After having my daughter, my position in the warehouse was removed, or more like I was no longer qualified for my position. I was already battling Post-Partum Depression, my daughter was in the NICU and now my position that I loved was no longer waiting for me. That's when it hit me, what am I actually passionate about? Like I mentioned, I was very depressed so passion wasn't one of the emotions I was feeling at the time. I was scrolling Instagram when I saw Lambda School's commercials. There was literally nothing I had to lose so I took the chance. I am so glad I did because learning to code brought me back to life. I got to take the aspect I loved about my former position at Amazon (problem solving) and apply it to coding. Because of that, I love bugs. I don't see them as failures, I see them as challenges. A new problem to solve. I am a full-stack web developer with a particular interest in back-end development. My specialties include Python, JavaScript, React, Node, and Express.If I'm not programming, I'm likely playing The Sims, thinking about the future for my daughter, or playing with my German Shepherd.
