As a project coordinator at TWiMMI, I work with a diverse and passionate team of women who are advancing the mining and mineral industry in Tanzania. I am responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring various projects that aim to improve the livelihoods, skills, and opportunities of women miners, processors, and traders. I have a strong background in metallurgy and mineral processing, having graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam with a BSc degree in this field. I also have a keen interest and knowledge in gemstones, having completed a certificate in applied jewelry professional from the Gemological Institute of America. I use my process engineering, data analysis, and gemology skills to support the technical and business aspects of our projects, such as mineral identification, quality assessment, market research, and value addition. I am motivated by the vision of creating a more inclusive, sustainable, and profitable mining and mineral sector in Tanzania.
