I am a gender, employability, entrepreneurship and health mentor for young boys and girls participating in the Muva Assistentes Project in the Water sector in collaboration with Aguas da Região Metropolitana de Maputo (ADRMM) and Road Safety in collaboration with the Police of the Republic of Mozambique.I facilitate collective and individual mentoring sessions that aim to:• Raise awareness among young people about the influence of social norms on gender concepts;• Prepare young people for entry into the job market (job market analysis, preparing CVs, pitch training and how to behave in a job interview);• Train young people in entrepreneurship (business market analysis, business creation, business finance, business strategies and business management tools); and• Raise awareness among young people about the importance of health and well-being for greater performance at work and a better lifestyle.During the trainings, I use the Freirean methodology and active learning techniques based on creating a safe space for reflection, sharing of ideas, discovery and personal and professional development.

Sonho Rural ProjectSonho Rural Project is an initiative that complements the economic strengthening component of the DREAMS Program, funded by USAID and implemented by Muva Association in Magude District, at Maputo Province with the objective of empower 60 low-income girls in matters of social norms and gender, employability and entrepreneurship using gender approaches with active learning techniques and freirian methodology.As the project's District Supervisor, I am responsible for implementing and monitoring field activities, including the following:• Training and monitoring of a team of eight economic strengthening mentors;• Coordination and holding of frequent meetings with community-based organizations, communitarian leaders and local authorities;• Control of timesheets and other administrative issues of economic strengthening mentors;• Participation in periodic project coordination meetings with the Muva national project team;Milestones :• Mobilization of 73 girls benefiting from the DREAMS Program;• Coordination of the recruitment, selection and training process of eight (8) economic strengthening mentors;• Lead 40 project planning and coordination meetings at district level;• Preparation of baseline and endline project activities in coordination with the MEAL team;• Logistical management of the training of 73 girls in four (4) localities in Magude distric;• Negotiation with local providers of accommodation, catering and other relevant services.
