Everything that was done in this lab was done with both the client’s goals and project objectives in mind. I was instrumental in planning, executing, and managing SCAL research projects and program evaluations. In addition to maintaining exacting records and reporting/documenting the success or failure of a project, I also wrote standard works instructions (SWIs) and trained junior staff on conducting SCAL tests. By performing constant and in-depth monitoring of laboratory equipment (e.g., ISSM Steady & Unsteady State Relative Permeability Rigs, PcRi Rigs and Centrifuges), environment, and people, I was able to ensure absolute and strict compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

For more than 3 years, I directed the processes of simultaneous SCAL projects while simultaneously ensuring safe radioactive operations and obtaining relevant radiation licenses and permits to maintain compliance with regulations. By leveraging knowledge of core analysis using HPHT ISSM rig, USBM Wettability Tests, and electric properties measurements (e.g., Formation Resistivity Factor and Resistivity Index) I was able to test, analyze, and form hypotheses – correcting anomalies along the way. I then articulated findings and complex information in way that was easily understandable to peers, leaders, and clients.

After obtaining a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science, both with Honors, from Khalifa University, I worked as a graduate research assistant. In this role, I designed and tested drilling fluid and non-corrosive enzyme-acid precursor cleanup fluid. Once I had the findings documented, I staged and hosted several presentations about the findings. I also published several papers.
