Already fascinated by wild cats, it was obsession at first sight when I laid eyes on an image of a snow leopard in 2012. Since then, my extensive work in snow leopard conservation and photography has earned me widespread recognition as the "Snow Leopard Man of India". I have conducted many snow leopard photography expeditions for Indian and European companies in the high-altitude Ladakh and Spiti regions of India, as well as the remote Altai Mountains in Mongolia. The more I get to know these elusive and enigmatic wild cats, the more I fall in love with them and want to protect them. As a conservationist photographer for the Snow Leopard Trust, I aim to educate people about the existence and survival of this rare animal. I helped in developing the Trust’s manifesto for photographers, and have been part of their workshops on socially and environmentally responsible tourism. Most notably, in 2019, I was invited to showcase my photographs and findings at the prestigious International Scientific Conference on Snow Leopard Conservation in Kazakhstan, where I was the only wildlife photographer in the world invited for my focus on Snow Leopards. I have also held solo exhibitions of my images internationally in Astana, Los Angeles and New York City. The exhibition and sale of these photographs enables me to raise funds to support snow leopard conservation and increase public awareness of key issues.In addition, I have been featured on the cover of India Today magazine, and had my wildlife photographs printed in The Tadoba Inheritance by Sanctuary Asia and the highly renowned Indian Birds book on Indian ornithology. I was a Natural History Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year finalist in 2015 and 2020. Born and brought up in Hyderabad, India, I discovered my passion for photography way back in 2005 while studying a Masters in IT Project Management & Entrepreneurship in Hungary and documenting my travels. In pursuit of happiness, after two years working in Paris, I left my career as a Program Manager to become a professional nature and wildlife photographer in 2007. My ideology towards photography is to make uncommon images from the simplest of subjects. I’m an entirely self-taught and self-made individual with a sincere interest in all things photographic. This interest extends into print making. In 2012, I founded Imprima to pioneer commercial fine art printing. The company is certified by Hahnemühle (Germany) and Breathing Color (USA), and is proudly the only vendor for metal printing in India.
