Bim Engineer
CurrentAs a BIM Engineer at Hensel Phelps Construction Company, I have been responsible for coordinating construction models for various commercial facilities. I have experience working with large and complex projects and have the ability to multi-task and collaborate with various technical disciplines. The scope of my responsibility has included the overall accuracy and development of a detailed BIM model, for physical and operational spatial coordination, and the timely implementation and resolution of any construction issues. I am proficient in using Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) software to identify conflicts with MEP, architectural, structural, and other design elements and present thoughtful, cost-effective solutions. I have collaborated with engineers, trades, and design professionals to develop an integrated approach to delivering conflict detection coordination models with a focus on optimizing the build process and driving quality and value.Experience Projects:*Switch Wet/Dry Utilities – Dell Facilities, Round Rock, TX - Develop a 3D model of the underground site utilities based on the as-built conditions recorded in the field (Civil 3D).*Round Rock Public Library, Round Rock, TX - Developed an accurate 3D model to identify any design discrepancies prior to construction and communicated clashes between trades for a more efficient execution of work. - Conducted laser scanning for understanding of MEP systems before and after concrete placements to mitigate construction clashes and find solutions early in the building process.*DKR SEZ – UT Football Stadium, Austin, TX - Generated concrete lift drawings for self-perform work and coordinated layout and control point verification with field engineers and structural trade partners. - Analyzed concrete placement actual volumes vs design takeoffs for budget reconciliation and monitoring.
