I’m an award-winning journalist, content strategist and newsroom leader with nearly two decades of experience in print, television and digital media. I specialize in developing content, editorial and SEO strategy; building and leading successful content teams; and telling stories with compelling data, real people and elegant prose. I've worked at giants in media and giants in financial services, including Time Inc., Dow Jones, Al Jazeera, Experian and LendingTree.By day, I manage a team of 30 staff editors and writers and a network of 100 freelance writers to produce and optimize personal finance SEO content for LendingTree. By night, I lead a volunteer newsroom at Analyst News, a nonprofit, international media organization focused on justice. We publish thoughtful, clear-eyed journalism and critical analysis of current social issues and events. I'm currently a 92nd Street Y Women inPower fellow, and I'm an alumna of the Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Media. In a previous life, I was also the founder and editor of Nirali, a popular web magazine for the South Asian diaspora.
