In my role as Policy and Engagement Officer, I undertake analysis of systemic policy issues related to the lives of people with disability, and engagement with a broad range of stakeholders. I conduct research, analysis, engage with people with disability, community, and mainstream services, planning facilitation, and coordinaion of engagement activities. I utilise my communication and writing skills to undertake written policy work and develop various resources.

My role at QDN involves maintaining a content calendar and creating a range of communications materials focused on amplifying the voices of people with disability and promoting equity, accessibility, and rights. I also handle content editing, reporting, event coordination, stakeholder relationships, and media outreach. Additionally, I facilitate a member-led blogging group.

As part of my social work study, I am currently completing 500 hours of placement at the Marsden State School Community Hub. In this role I foster an inclusive and safe environment, connect with diverse families and ensure their needs are met. I also facilitate a school readiness program, playgroup, support English classes, and provide assistance with important forms, for example, Centrelink, Medicare, and visa forms. Additionally, I coordinate community efforts to address food insecurity and initiate soft entry programs for socially isolated women.

I oversaw internal communication channels, managed content calendars, and analysed usage trends for the organisation's intranet and social media. I also supported content creation, maintained writing style guides, and facilitated collaboration across teams for effective messaging. Additionally, I provided assistance to the Corporate Communications and Publications Manager and documented events through photography.

My role at Healthy Land & Water involved developing, leading and reporting on communications campaigns, writing various internal and external communications material, assisting in the delivery of internal and external workshops and events, creating media opportunities, and managing multiple social media accounts.
