I worked as a sales advisor for an Argos store in Sainsburys. I was tasked with serving customers and collecting their orders from the back warehouse. There was an average wait time of 60 seconds with some items, and I was able to improve my service and collection speeds. As a sales advisor, I was also tasked with interesting customers to open an Argos card account (a store credit card), and I was successful with this on several occasions. I was able to engage in comfortable and easy rapport with both my customers and colleagues. Working at Argos allowed me to improve my retail skills and to gain a better understanding of how a retail warehouse setting works, while still being able to enjoy the everyday interactions with my customers.

I worked as a deli assistant and sandwich assistant at the kitchen in Spar and the Subway within the store. I gained food health and safety skills, completing a food safety and hygiene course. I was able to handle busy crowds while being one of only two servers on any given shift. I had a confident rapport with my customers and achieved a working knowledge of Subway procedures and menu items. I often had to begin work very early in the morning, and be solely in charge of the hot and fresh cold food for the Spar store. I had good relationships with my work colleagues, and respected my superiors while also being able to engage in easy conversation with them.
