I am currently working as an occupational therapist with Scope Home Access. My experience as an occupational therapist includes rehabilitation case management in the compulsory third party insurance scheme, working with mainly older clients in the public health system, and about 14 months as a pediatriac occupational therapist. My previous career involved nearly 20 years in policy development and program management roles in the Australian Public Service. I later spent a few years from late 2009 until mid-2014 undertaking consultancy work, often in collaboration with other organisations, and usually focussed on recruitment and skills development. The consultancy work was interspersed with a variety of temporary roles such as managing the national office of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Foundation for a few months in 2010 pending the recruitment of the Foundation's CEO; operating a boutique accommodation business while the owners were overseas in 2011 and 2012; and leading the Membership and Professional Development Team at CCSA for a year until April 2013.
