Built and led all aspects of technology operations and support for a start-up dot com environment within Experian, playing an integral role in the business lines strategic direction and development / growth of CreditExpert.co.uk, LowerMybills.co.uk and ProtectMyID.co.uk. Built and managed a leading-edge technology team, covering advertising and 24/7 operations, service and technical management, call centre systems operations and infrastructure. Experian Interactive grew to a $100 million division within 3 years. During my 5 year tenure I was responsible for establishing core technology process and operational functions that focussed on making the business run. Management of technology suppliers and also development of these relationships both internal and external was a key focus of mine to ensure they met our strategic objectives. Working closely with procurement and legal teams, but ensuring pace and getting things done was order of the day, my role has been about delivery and getting results.Developed a re-billing process to harvest additional funds on monthly billing cycles, this development alone brought in 2 million pounds of revenue during FY09. Established core business functions, including e-mail marketing operations, call centre operations (supporting a userbase of c400 agents), incident management, service operations, change and problem management, QA, billing operations and a service desk function servicing c520 personnel. A key part of the role was to manage our delivery and development team in the US and also to leverage resources from the wider Interactive US business to service UK requirements. I was a major stakeholder in the technology space when setting up both the LowerMyBills and Protect My Identity business lines, and managed both start-up lines through delivery and subsequent operational change and business as usual activities.
