Maintenance Engineer Aromatics & Butadiene
-Provide engineering support to address plant issues that are impacting production in a short period of time.-Support planner in the Global Maintenance Work Process (GMWP) in the development of job packages.-Contribute to spare parts long-term strategy with Reliability Engineer.-Participate in developing assets reliability and performance plan with Operation team.-Ensure that equipment data are properly documented in data management program (SAP). -Plant Assessment Team (PAT) leader.-Compliance mechanical-integrity inspection and repair jobs owner.-Root Case Investigation (RCI) participant and facilitator on equipment strategy failure.-Engineering Assistance focal point.-Maintenance representative for several projects.
Optimization Engineer
RAMLAB mission is to produce big metal parts on demand using Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). My job was to investigate and analyzing four different sensors (high frequency current and voltage sensor, microphone, optical emission spectrometer, welding camera) and their signals for real-time monitoring and detection of welding anomalies during the printing process. This project is part of the second year PDEng curriculum and it is supported by the Materials Innovation Institute (M2i - Aim2XL project).Project title: "Multi-sensor monitoring analysis during Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing"Final mark: 9/10.
Professional Doctorate In Engineering (Engd) Trainee In Process And Product Design
The 2 years post-master program focuses on translating knowledge into practical, operational tools in process and product design. First year concentrates on developing trainees’ competencies with industry-related lectures and short-term projects in international teams. Second year challenges the trainee in a long-term design project in a high-tech company in Europe (preferably in The Netherlands). Link: https://www.tue.nl/en/education/graduate-school/pdeng-process-and-product-design/Second year project performed at RAMLAB BV. Project title: "Multi-sensor monitoring analysis during Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing"Final mark: 9/10.Main subjects:-Engineering design: Process design, Process modeling, simulation and control, Chemical reactor development and process intensification Product design, Computational fluid dynamics.-Polymer engineering: Polymer reaction engineering, Polymer physics, Polymer rheology and processing, Polymer coatings.
Process Designer (Engd 1St Year Long-Term Project)
2-months project with the aim of investigating and proposing a design for a lean-carbon ammonia process, through green and blue hydrogen production. The scope of this project was limited to an ammonia plant with a capacity of 1600 ton per day of ammonia.Key steps of the design:- Investigate current advances in blue- and green-hydrogen technologies; - Narrow down a list of 2 options (one for green and one for blue hydrogen) based on relevant criteria like energy efficiency, capacity, sustainability, etc.;- Run simulations of the selected technology options to reach the target capacity of the ammonia plant;- Perform economic evaluations with the use of Back-Of-The-Envelope (BOTE) calculations;- Advise the stakeholders on both short- and long-term solutions.I was responsible on developing an Aspen PLUS model of the blue hydrogen pathway. The model comprehends 5 different sections: feedstock pre-treatment and gasification, water gas-shift, carbon capture and hydrogen purification, ammonia plant, tail gas burner. The simulation was able to reach the ammonia project specifications and the input streams were included in the cost calculation of blue technology.
