Implemented experiment design with a focus on fluid conditions required for multicellularity in E. coli. Assisted in the preparation of cell cultures, followed chemical and media recipes as needed, maintained stock reagents, prepared PMDS microfluidic chips, and disposed of biohazardous materials. Utilized DIC microscopy and ImageJ to observe and analyze bacterial growth and cellular changes. Adapted MATLAB programs to streamline image analysis efficiently and converted data into ordered graphs and lists for use in lab reports and pinpoint variables to change for the next experiments.

Utilized administrative skills to manage 24 students within Yavapai Residence Hall. Monitored building activity and enforced policy to ensure safety and harmony between residents. Developed a wrist device used for treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Developed the automatic wrist compression device consisting of a hand model, a microcontroller, a pressure sensor, air pump, and other circuitry. Assisted in the hand scanning and reconstruction, and then wrist brace design using Solidworks. 3D printed brace design iteratively to meet mechanical and structural requirements up to standards. Assisted in the design of an air balloon and air pump, and planned out and implemented the electrical configuration of their circuitry. Assisted in the calibration of force applied by air balloon. Designed a feedback control system used in the orthotic wrist device, and implemented it in the programming of the circuit microcontroller using C, as well as in the mechanical functioning of the system.

Worked with business manager to assist class teams in purchasing materials and supplies for research projects. Submitted payments and processed returns for team purchases. Organized pickup/delivery of packages from campus office. Reconciled credit card purchases and directed required receipts to University Financial Services. Updated and maintained team and operations financial spreadsheets using Excel & Adobe software.

Part of the administrative assistance staff for higher education students with disabilities. Facilitating various office activities by designing and handling marketing materials, performing receptionist duties in-person and on the telephone, and displaying overall hospitality.

Developing a single axis motorized translation stage for linear manipulation of confocal microscopic lens to be used in retinal cancer detection. Planning cost-effective design using 3D printed or cheap commercial parts with rapid movement in micrometer increments.

Spearheaded a team of 3 other interns in the design and presentation of a low-cost ultrasound guided nerve block phantom design, and demonstrated excellent engineering analysis, problem solving, and project management skills. Created the training phantom using Solidworks in strict accordance with manufacturing requirements, and then developed a working model after thorough testing with ultrasound machinery. Designed the presentation on Canva and received 3 awards for its popularity on YouTube and among faculty, as well as for exceptional presentation design.

Guided students in Introductory Biology 181 course by holding discussions, offering advice for homework, and explaining Molecular Biology concepts to students.

Tutored high school students with a focus on science subjects and mathematics, as well as SAT I test preparation. Helped my students succeed and achieve A grades, and improved SAT scores by at least 100 points.
