I am an accountant, and it is my goal to enter the accounting field and achieve the very best for the company that employs me. I am a tax intern at LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors. Last spring my duties included completing 990, 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120S returns, and scanning and organizing workpapers. For the summer I have been completing any returns given to me, while also assisting with tax consulting projects. During my time at LaPorte I have become familiar with multiple tax software programs, and become a better and more thorough professional. Previously, I was an accountant at the Municipal Police Employees Retirement System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I performed a number of duties, including payables and payroll. I also previously worked at Waffle House for nearly six years, helping to retain customers and gain new ones by providing excellent service. While with Waffle House I earned the highest possible rank a grill operator can achieve, Rockstar Grill Operator. I also served as a Third-shift Supervisor, gaining valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and client satisfaction.It is my hope that my skills, experiences, and desire to improve will help me contribute immediately to any team.
