About Israel Matos

In 1997, I joined forces with Kris Richardson to form Wicker Walkers, a pet sitting company serving the Wicker Park and surrounding neighborhoods in Chicago. My customer service and personal pet knowledge along with Kris' previous years of training and employment for a large pet care provider were a perfect combination for the business. We changed the name to Modern Pet in 2007 and introduced new services and care options for our clients. Also, many potential clients thought that we only served Wicker Park and looked elsewhere for their needs. Our clients love that their pets have had the same two caretakers since joining instead of a new walker (and stranger to your home) every six months. We even have pets that we have been visiting for 10 years! (Yes, the same two walkers!). We plan to expand our service area and hire truly dedicated people, like we believe we are.
