When I first arrived to this immature and overwhelmed team, I started tackling poorly performing nightly cycles and reduced runtime from 6 hours to 10 minutes by using SQL and Informatica tuning techniques. I also worked to establish an on-call rotation to handle issues in prod, and used SharePoint lists to track failures in lower regions. Working with team to develop a standard deployment site on SharePoint for database scripts and Informatica releases. Also reviewed, refined, and augmented team's coding standards while sharing on a wiki and enforcing them as a team.Led efforts to revamp change management, participated in release management establishment, refined testing methodologies and roles. Drove team adoption of subversion and largely contributed to an automatic database logging and versioning master shell script. Learned Agile methodology and applied to current project.Conceived, designed, estimated, pitched, and initiated an internal wellness project to tackle the sheer volume of daily Informatica issues. My homegrown solution automatically parses Informatica logs, integrates those errors with scheduling data, and has a Java front end that displays this info for assignment and root cause analysis.
