I received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Granada, Spain, in 2014; the M.Sc. degree in computer science from the Central University of Las Villas, Cuba, in 2009; the M.Sc. degree in education from the University of Granma, Cuba, in 2007; and the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of East, Cuba, in 2005.I have constantly worked on big data scenarios for about 15 years. My research interests and results include new algorithms, methods, and tools for big data analytics, data stream mining, and online machine learning.Currently, I manage a data and machine learning engineering team at Quod, a Datatech, using a variety of big data tools and languages to construct financial products.I also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, University of São Paulo, Brazil; developing new algorithms for machine learning and data mining.I was an assistant professor at the University of Granma and at the University of Computer Science, Cuba, from 2005 to 2016.I am fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (mother tongue). I have served as a reviewer in various prestigious journals, as “IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering”, “IEEE Transactions on Big Data”, “Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery”, and “Neurocomputing”.
