Emarsys is an omnichannel customer engagement platform.I have key role in the Core Application Team, which is responsible for the scalability of the platform as a whole, including CRM functionalities, API management and environment deployment.My duty is to detect bottlenecks in the platform, and provide solutions, which can vary based on the problem from simple query optimizations to architect and develop complex systems.Highlights of success stories at Emarsys: Speeding up the email sending infrastructure to be able to serve giant customers who have hundreds of millions of contacts. Migrating 70+ TB of production data from an on-premise MySQL database to Cloud Spanner / BigQuery, with changing the application architecture around it from a monolithic way by splitting it to microservices. Redesign the public contact API so it can carry the load of the customers on high demanding periods like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. A new, distributed job execution framework, which had to be developed since the old solution cannot be scaled further and took way too much pressure on the central database.

The main project I was responsible for was the Chopra Center Meditation website. It is a digital platform serving millions of users, offering resources and tools for individuals interested in meditation.I designed and developed the whole system from scratch, and gathered experience of how to operate high traffic website.The greatest achievement was setting the Guinness World Record for the largest online meditation gathering in history, with more than 140,000 attendees at the same time.

As an intern, my goal was to experience how software development works in real life. I managed to develop my first features on the edigital.hu web shop, and bring them to production.
