As the founder of Casa Tamarindo, a vernacular research and design house, I bridge the gap between art, sustainability, and culture. With over seven years of experience, I lead projects that involve developing biomaterials from local resources, designing and building large-scale set designs from waste, creating products and furniture, teaching workshops, and planning and coordinating events around binational sustainability.I have a background in fine and studio arts, and I recently completed my master's degree in bio-integrated design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, where I focused on integrating advanced environmental simulation software into design and fabrication workflows. I am passionate about exploring the potential of advanced computation, biotechnology, and vernacular traditions to create innovative and sustainable solutions for the built environment and beyond. I have been invited to lecture at the Royal College of Art and Tecnológico de Monterrey, among others, and I have received multiple awards and honors for my work.
