I was one of those kids who built stuff. I was fascinated with the idea that I could dream of something and build it on my own. Unlike other childhood treats, I never let go of this passion, and in early 2000 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came to me – combining software development in complex controllers as part of my Israeli army service. Following my discharge, I earned my Bachelor of Science/ Engineering in Electrical Engineering. And then the real fun started.I followed the love of my life to Amsterdam and had to leave my successful career in the aerospace industry where I mostly made sub-systems talk and work together, programmed on MATLAB, and debugged with different tools and scopes.Being fluent in two languages (Hebrew, English) I had to learn Dutch, and I started my new career as an embedded engineer (later promoted to R&D Manager) at SODAQ. There, I have focused on C/C++ (Atmel ARM system and microcontroller; e.g. SAMD21), Arduino, Python and designing PCBs in EAGLE CAD. In addition to embedding systems, I enjoy working in QA: testing and debugging systems with different needs and communication protocols. Analytics is another passion: I welcome analyzing complex engineering problems and recommending creative solutions. And I’m constantly striving to improve product power consumption (critical for IoT devices).So who am I? Embedded Engineer. Software Geek. QA Specialist. Inventor. I would say I’m driven, hardworking, flexible, a fast learner, and that I complete all projects with an excellent standard, on time and on budget. I’m also an inventor: I hold an official patent from Israel and a pending patent from US ( https://goo.gl/1kNIEH). The patent is about controlling a malfunction of an electric boiler/water heater – email me if you want to know more.On the weekends, you can find me mountain biking, hiking, playing soccer, motorcycling, and scuba diving.
