ever since I was a child I was fascinated by nature. How water flows and accumulates or infiltrates and nourishing the surrounding area . Water is the basis for all life, it is the blood of the planet and it is alive!When I grew up I studied Tai chi and Chinese medicine and philosophy The flow of chi in the body is like water in nature, flows, accumulates and reviving the body with life and energy. All things are related.. The way we treat our body, our surroundings, our planet. I studied water engineering because I believe I can help water crisis, which is fundamental part of the global environmental crisis we are facing now.After graduating from college I felt I still don't know enough about the mystery of water and how to treat it, so I started second degree in Technion, environmental engineers, doing research on biological treatment of water denitrifiying and purifying it in reactors. It was great to experience treatment of water by microbes and understanding microbial role in cleaning the water.After graduating I started working in the industry and design of water treatment plants as a civil engineer in DHV-MED. I realized Israel is a leading country in treating sewer into effluent for agricultural uses.But in the field of hydrology and especially in flood management we have still a lot to learn and improve.Israel broad coastline is highly populated and many cities, like Tel Aviv, Hadera, Nahariya and more have a stream or a river flowing through it. These streams that flow from the highland into the valley and the sea, uprise and up tides and flood the cities every year, causing damage to properties and life. I feel the call to help those cities manage the runoff and flood, by means of delay, enhance infiltration and design to make it more flexible, greener and more pleasant place to live in. As an holistic person who ganed knowledge in engineering I see the wrongs of classical engineering approch in relation to water treatment and flow. I want to help the change of mind and concussions that has already begun in the approach of conducting water, storing water and treating water for the benefits of our cities our planet and all man kind.
