Reporting to the CIO and as a senior member of the ISD leadership team, I oversee the effective ownership of Council’s Software, Infrastructure assets and delivery of professional and reliable services to support current and ever-evolving business outcomes. I play an instrumental role in driving the transformative strategy to improve system performance, the business value of IT investment, Cyber Security protection, Cloud transitions and future preparedness and scalability. I influence and guide technology leads and business leaders to ensure technology solutions are designed for customers, resilience, and sustainability.I am a proven and influential leader that can demonstrate outstanding expertise in technological and people capabilities. I am a trusted advisor and partner to the business with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. This role reports directly to the CIO and is responsible for the establishment of the annual Infrastructure strategy and delivery of systems and services through project management and ongoing operational support. The core requirements include design implement and support of LAN / WAN and infrastructure services to over 1000 staff whilst providing a secure, reliable and recoverable environment through disaster recovery and business continuity practices.The city of Whittlesea is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria. This growth has enabled exciting challenges including the expansion of greens sites and increasing services needing to be delivered more efficiently and effectively. I have successfully delivered by providing scalable solutions through automation, integration and reduced support efforts with a key focus on end user experiences, increasing mobility and seamless solutions while retaining a strong security posture and protecting against cyber security challenges.To comply with an SDLC methodology it has been necessary to restructure the support team ensuring the successful delivery and review of Infrastructure services. Key RequirementsManagement of 35 IT staff from 6 business units within Information Services including personal development plans.Presenting and influencing the corporate leadership team and executive leadership team with IT initiatives and corporate reporting.Key stakeholder to Information Services led projects. Financial management including Capital and Operational.

This role allowed me to develop the multi domain infrastructure supporting around 200 staff and mentoring 3rd line and service desk support staff.

Throughout the Johnson’s services group there were multiple regional IT departments. As the Network Administrator, I was overseeing the entire group, providing 3rd line support to all IT Departments supporting over 3000 users and 200 servers.My main achievement was the successful delivery of Citrix Presentation services and migrating 3000 staff all sites UK wide. This was a 12 month project which included leading a team to attend each remote site for a period of a week at time to migrate from their Printing and PC client setup to Presentation services.

Working in a large regional team I was providing 3rd level support to over 500 servers and over 5000 users throughout UK and Europe. My responsibilities included all aspects of daily operations of multiple domains and sites using multiple operating systems and working to SLA’s.

This role was providing consultation support services for several clients throughout the UK.I was responsible for managing, monitoring and resolving all IT support related issues including infrastructure such as Routers, Firewalls, Terminal servers, ISA, 2K Servers, NT servers, Backup Exec, Symantec Antivirus, Exchange 2003 and Server / PC builds.

Leading a team of 6 Support Engineers I was supporting over 5000 users from over 50 sites local to Bolton municipality in all aspects of PC Support.

My tenure with Liberty Finance was during the early stages of this organisations establishment. I was responsible for establishing the IT policies, procedure's, client and server SOEs. During this time Liberty experienced fast growth and expanded offices, I was involved with the design and relocation of the datacentre. My role was to support our server and client infrastructure including 200 staff based both domestically and internationally.
