Terry joined eBay Classifieds Group in early 2012, where he leads a team of product managers and engineers in Asia-Pacific while working closely with the global User Experience Design and Engineering teams at the company’s US headquarters to develop, roll out and operate eBay Classifieds services in key APAC markets. He is also responsible for running the region’s product strategy, product development and operations, as well as managing the product portfolio across multiple platforms, from websites to mobile apps.Terry has built an impressive knowledge of e-commerce based on his 17 years of experience in the industry as a product manager. His first foray into product development and management came in 2000 when he joined Yahoo! to found their Hong Kong e-commerce division. Terry remained with the company for over 12 years, becoming an expert in internet product design, development planning, and project management as well as all facets of project life-cycle management, from initial feasibility analysis and conceptual design to documentation and implementation.Terry also takes one further step as a Country Manager of Gumtree Singapore to manage the P&L from business strategy to the daily operation. He also successfully turned Gumtree Singapore from a general horizontal classified to a #1 non-professional jobs destination in Singapore. Based on Terry’s product & development DNA, he helped to form an innovation tech team for some strategic projects and just launched the Gumtree Jobs apps for Australia had a huge success with four times higher user engagement rate and delivering 50%+ of connections between recruiter-seeker of Gumtree AU.
