As the Chief Technology & Cybersecurity Officer (CTO) provided executive, strategic, managerial, and technical leadership for U.S. Army North's technology branch which consists of 80+ military, Department of the Army Civilians (DACs), and contractors geographically dispersed throughout the continental United States supporting 4000+ Homeland Defense, Homeland Security, and Defense Support to Civil Authorities users. Led Army North’s no-fail mission set during the deployment of special technologies and robust communications capabilities in the most austere conditions during several real-world events.Highlighted responsibilities & achievements include:• Oversaw the Joint Network Operations Control Center (JNCC) for the US Northern Command Joint Force Land Component Command, and the Army Service Component Command; provided garrison and deployed support to the command, subordinate task forces, Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and National Level Events with NIPR, SIPR, VTC, and Voice services; monitored network performance and usage of terrestrial circuits valued in excess of $10M for a dynamic and robust network.• Provided authoritative technical leadership and defined the technological strategy that best addressed the organizational technology and cybersecurity needs, and provided advice on complex, precedent setting matters to the G6, and ultimately to the ARNORTH commander.• Responsible for the day-to-day technical operations of the technology branch; overseeing planning, engineering, acceptance testing, implementation, and cybersecurity of fixed and tactical communications systems in a multi-site and geographically dispersed environment.• Worked with stakeholders to defines business and systems requirements for new technologies.• Worked with vendors, manages IT contracts, and ensured that all deliverables were met, per service agreements.

As the Information Systems Manager and Chief Architect for Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) provided strategic, managerial, and technical leadership for the technology division which consists of 75+ military, Department of the Army Civilians (DACs), and contractors throughout the Pacific Theater in support of Joint Operations.Highlighted responsibilities & achievements include:• Primary architect of a new Special Operations global IT delivery architecture; selected to lead its initial implementation throughout the Pacific Theater• Responsible for cybersecurity compliance and posture of all networks supporting a customer base located throughout the Pacific Theater; oversaw penetration testing and independent validation & verification programs; no reportable breaches• Led the effort in support of the organization's number one priority - implementing a new network construct throughout the Pacific Theater. This rollout was the cornerstone of a global implementation in support of all Special Operations Forces on SOCOM's classified and unclassified networks.• Developed and orchestrated the technical operations necessary to successfully migrate over 2000 users in more than a dozen countries around the PACOM AOR with near zero impact on operations.• Architected and successfully implemented a framework that afforded SOCPAC users the ability to seamlessly transition between garrison and the tactical edge throughout the Pacific Theater.• Architected and oversaw the migration of SOCPAC's datacenters to new Cisco UCS B-Series, NetApp FAS, and VMware vSphere technologies, as well as the development of robust and secure remote data kits to support PACOM’s Augmentation Teams.

• Led a team of 25 soldiers and contractors in support of the organization's classified and unclassified networks with 3000+ users, at four CONUS bases, and multiple forward deployed locations• Engineered and implemented a migration of the organization's LAN, consisting of over 40 buildings, from ATM to Ethernet, utilizing Cisco Catalyst 6500, 3750, and 3560 switches, as well as Cisco ISR 3800 series routers• Designed and built an Active Directory Forest, and the led the migration of the organization to this new Forest, with near zero service disruption• Designed and built the MS Exchange organization for the new AD Forest, and migrated over 2500 user mailboxes with near zero service disruption• Designed, and implemented the first Active Directory smart card authentication solution in DoD, to fully CAC enforce all AD forest user and administrative accounts• Engineered and deployed the first, fully Certified & Accredited wireless LAN in SOCOM, which was showcased to the Army G4. This WLAN covered over 80 percent of the organization's footprint at three separate bases• Designed and deployed wired and wireless PKI based 802.1x authentication, organization-wide, to include designing and building the PKI infrastructure• Engineered, deployed, and administered a Cisco Voice over IP solution, that included, Call Manager, Unity, E-911• Designed, built, and administered the organization's perimeter network, consisting of Cisco ASAs, and IDS appliances• Designed, built, and managed the organization's datacenters at three CONUS sites, consisting of Cisco Unified Computing System, NetApp Storage, and VMware vSphere. We were the first organization in DoD to successfully deploy UCS, and virtualize over 95 percent of our server infrastructure

• Quickly assessed the current network architecture and developed a plan to reconfigure the routed network, which improved the performance and security posture of the Division's unclassified data network.• Played an integral part in building the server infrastructure of the Iraqi Education and Oil ministries in northern Iraq.• Upgraded the Division's Wide Area Network with minimal user disruption.• Identified the need for and built a website that would positively publish the efforts of coalition and Iraqi forces, in the northern Nineveh Province, which became the first website of its kind in the AOR.Trained two Iraqi web administrators how to maintain the website after the Division's redeployment• Played integral part in the deployment of over 3000 computers as part of the Division's life-cycle program, after redeployment.
