Oversaw the digital reach of Bloomberg global technology coverage, serving as the liaison between the tech team based in San Francisco and the digital team based in New York. Created and oversaw Benchmark, a new section of Bloomberg's economics coverage with shorter, data visualization-rich, conversational stories intended primarily for a digital audience on Bloomberg.com. Edited stories, set standards for the section, analyzed digital traffic, and liaised with other teams across Bloomberg. Benchmark stories were consistently the best-performing stories on Bloomberg.com from the global economics team. Founding co-host of the Bloomberg Benchmark Podcast, the publication's first digital-original podcast.

Led Bloomberg's Tokyo Bureau of 120 reporters and editors, coordinating coverage across several teams. Assigned and edited features about Japan, mentored early-career reporters, and facilitated assignment changes for half a dozen reporters and editors. This job was part of a "job swap" program in which a handful of journalists were assigned temporary roles for three months as part of their career development.

Reported on speeches given by Federal Reserve officials across the country and analyzed US monetary policy. Wrote features on the intersection of technology and the economy, including some early stories on how AI was changing the job market. Notable awards: Institute on Political Journalism's Excellence in Economic Reporting Award.

Reported on Japan's economy and economic policy, analyzing macroeconomic indicators (e.g. GDP, unemployment rate, consumer sentiment) and monetary policy. Covered the 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster on the ground. Developed expertise in macroeconomic functions on the Bloomberg terminal.
