For patients, this provides rapid access to expert medical care.The project consisted of two major efforts.1) Writing the VISCA communications infrastructure for communicating with the camera network, Pan/Tilt unit, and Camera itself.2) Creating a camera model enabling the Doctor to interact with the video display during the examination. This involved research into various camera models and implementing a custom solution.
