Entrepreneur Mark Lang is the founder and Managing Director of InfoTech Solutions – a leading Australian IT firm servicing hundreds of clients in the accounting, professional services, legal, medical and engineering industries.Mark is a sought-after public speaker for national events and conferences. He offers business owners and industry bodies valuable insights into the current IT climate, including strategic steps for remaining agile and competitive. On request, Mark also consults for select business as a ‘Virtual CIO’ (Chief Information Officer), providing strategic and budgetary advice at a board level. Mark’s passion for technology was sparked early on. He worked in a computer store as a teenager before moving into sales for a large tech firm. Mark later honed his support skills in the trenches of the BHP helpdesk, and at the Goonyella mine site in central Queensland. After returning to Brisbane, Mark founded InfoTech Solutions in 1999 with the intention of providing IT support and strategy for the accounting industry. Mark’s early clients worked with Ceedata and Solutions 6, which ultimately became accounting software giant MYOB. Mark and his team became known for their expertise and efficiency with trouble-shooting the infrastructure issues that plagued the accounting industry at the time. Mark has successfully spearheaded InfoTech Solutions’ diversification in recent years, which has seen the business acquire various medical, legal, mining, engineering and professional services clients across Australia.
