After graduating with a first class degree in Computing and Information Technology with Education Studies, I joined the University of St Mark & St John (Marjon) working on the University's JISC funded e-Learning Pathfinder Programme, which involved collaborating with colleagues across the Institution to develop pedagogically-sound teaching & learning practices, utilising innovative technologies.I secured a permanent role as part of the e-Learning Team at Marjon in 2007, and continued to work with colleagues to develop the institution’s use of technology-enhanced learning (TEL).In 2011 I became the Senior e-Learning Technologist at Marjon, taking on responsibility for managing the e-Learning Team who provide support, advice and technical developments to the staff and student body. I also managed institution-wide TEL projects, which included a campus-wide Lecture Capture roll-out, and the adoption of e-Submission. This multifaceted role included a blend of pedagogic advice and CPD-facilitation, as well as technical development on bespoke projects that improve the student experience (including mobile apps, games, web services and touch-screen systems). I sat on a number of Marjon committees which focused on improving the student experience and developing innovative learning & teaching practices. I also represented the institution as a member of the UK Heads of e-Learning Forum (HeLF) and was active within the Association of Learning Technology (ALT) network.As an advocate for continuing professional development, I completed a Masters degree in Online and Distance Education with the Open University in 2013.In 2015 I joined Plymouth-based Sponge - an award winning Elearning Development company as a Senior member of the Development Team. Since starting at Sponge I've held a number of positions across people and process management, as a intermediary between sales and delivery including heading up our Programme Management Office. I now Lead our Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, specialising in Power Platform.Outside of my work, I like to spend time enjoying the south west with my wife and young daughter.
