As Resident Coordinator I acted as a liaison between North American students studying in Brisbane and the educational institutes hosting them. I oversaw all operations, including event planning, logistics and management. I also contributed greatly to the company’s online presence through social media management for the Brisbane area.

My role in this globally recognized organization was to seamlessly manage community outreach projects and events on a large scale. I learned a whole lot of valuable information and skills in this position that I have been able to take with me on my career path. I completed industry-leading training in Community Organizing, Outreach, and Empowerment, as well as specialized training in conflict resolution, risk and crisis management, and event management.

Toronto, Canada Area

This position entailed risk prevention for a globally recognized organization. That meant ensuring that Greenpeace volunteers and staff would be able to react well in action scenarios and high risk events. My job was to create techniques and tools to train staff members and volunteers with, as well as to implement fast paced and interactive presentations that encouraged them to think well on their feet. I helped to plan the logistics of dynamic action scenarios throughout Canada. I also managed the design and distribution of Greenpeace’s national volunteer newsletter which went out to more than 10,000 supporters in 2 languages.
