Robyn is a curriculum designer, technical writer, creative writer, facilitator, arts administrator, movement artist, and producer. They perform as a freelance contemporary movement artist in NYC and surrounding areas, through formal stage production, site-specific installations, and dance for film. They provide rehearsal and movement coaching for young professional dancers and teach open contemporary classes grounded in somatic awareness, task-based learning, and active listening. Prominent moments in their career include performances at Lincoln Center, Arts on Site, and the Center for Performance Research. Currently, they dance for Hivewild, cullen+them, and The Dynamite Experience.Robyn works in arts administration at Hi-ARTS, an organization in East Harlem dedicated to the creative development of BIPOC artists across disciplines. Currently, they are serving as the interim program manager, and are responsible for the development and maintenance of a wide variety of artist residencies, youth engagement, and performance programming. They design and facilitate training curriculum for nonprofit organizations and grassroots collectives: covering de-escalation, conflict mapping, organizational development, risk assessments, and more. Their instructional ethos is informed by their collegiate concentration in medieval and modern philosophy, and the inherent requirement for linguistic specificity. They are responsible for singlehandedly developing the training library for INGO Nonviolent Peaceforce from scratch, and having said library adapted on the international level. Other prominent collaborations include Vision Change Win, Asian American Federation, Election Defenders, Jews For Racial and Economic Justice, and the Building Movement Project.
