Current• Oversee various aspects of mining operations, including safety protocols, equipment deployment, and workforce management.• Collaborate with other mining professionals, engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless operations.• Enforce safety guidelines and protocols.• Regularly inspect work areas, equipment, and ventilation systems to identify and address potential hazards.• Ensure compliance with legal and environmental regulations related to mining activities.• Monitor coal extraction processes, including drilling, blasting, and continuous miner technology (CMT).• Optimise production by coordinating shifts, managing resources, and minimizing downtime.• Track production targets and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals.• Implement effective roof support systems to prevent roof falls and ensure worker safety.• Regularly inspect roof conditions and address any instability promptly.• Monitor coal quality during extraction. Ensure that the extracted coal meets specified standards.• Address any issues related to impurities, size distribution, and moisture content.• Develop emergency response plans for various scenarios (e.g., roof collapse, gas leaks, fires).• Train the workforce on emergency procedures and evacuation routes.• Maintain clear communication channels with mine workers, supervisors, and management.• Prepare regular reports on production, safety incidents, and equipment performance.
