At Freedom Lifted I've co-facilitated online and in-person Justice at Work trainings for teams who want to go beyond DEI work to truly understand identity, oppression, resistance, solidarity and operationalizing their commitments to justice. I also designed social media, workbooks, and over 100+ graphics to support the business.

I worked with this scrappy organization's Board of Directors to develop their budget, survey their community and execute their most equitable annual poetry festival this year, with events spanning over a month. I enjoyed working with the organization at a time of transition and ensuring a strong passing of the torch to the permanent executive director.

At this loving and spiritual foundation I served as an administrative assistant for the Vice President of Global Outreach. I managed calendaring, scheduling, as well as an office remodel.

At this cutting-edge youth development nonprofit I the artistry of teens in a trauma-informed and socially and emotionally responsive way, all while maintaining legal and fiscal 510c3 nonprofit-status. I partnered with the Board of Directors to design, implement and executive a 5-year strategic plan, which included a successful capital campaign. From managing employees to individualized youth development, I learned to put relationships first while growing organizational funding by a yearly average of 210%.

I worked with Michigan United and Michigan People's campaign as a community organizer working on their "Fair Chance for All" campaign, which resulted in Kalamazoo City passing a resolution to decrease employment barriers for formerly incarcerated people. I was trained through People's Action and worked with a team to create change in my community.

In this position, I managed Kalamazoo College's Community Studio that hosted monthly Art Hop events featuring both Kalamazoo Community artists and seniors within the Kalamazoo College art department. I was in charge of supplies, equipment, event planning and advertisement, as well as grant reporting.
