Director Of Information Technology
CurrentI aim to develop ways to be more efficient with dollars and technology within River Valley Cooperative. Cutting costs and doing things better and more securely is my superpower. That is something that I have and will continue to accomplish now and into the future.I support almost 400 employees and specifically about 250 that use "screens." Each one is unique due to the nature of the business at River Valley Cooperative in the Agronomy, Grain, Feed, and Energy agriculture markets. It has been challenging to learn all those aspects of the company, but nothing hasn't been impossible.I am better at I.T. because of RVC. I have grown in experience, and my education has expanded to a new level that I would have achieved without RVC.Key accomplishments that have developed my professional growth include:1. I developed a revolving 5-year plan that ensured all employees were using modern equipment and were functioning at a high level with their tech hardware.2. I created and implemented a Disaster Recovery Plan that didn't exist before my start date.3. I set up a security awareness training program that ensured employees were being trained regularly to ensure we do our best to secure company, employee, and customer data most efficiently and securely available to the company. I have implemented email filtering at the M365 level and DNS filtering at all 40 locations of the company. I have set up individual access to the company's WIFi APs by certificate-based authentication.4. I established relationships with business partners that ensure our long-term dedication to providing the best IT services at the company.5. I successfully migrated the Domain Controller and all other premises servers to Azure, a significant step towards our company's digital transformation. This migration has not only improved our operations but also set the stage for future technological advancements.6. I lead the project to install over 110 security cameras throughout the company.
