Pat Taylor is the founder and Executive Creative director of Studio Optimist. Located in Melbourne, Australia, he lives out his passion for interesting and challenging projects in motion. Both locally and abroad, Pat has a strong history of developing creative campaigns that speak to audiences across all mediums, winning him awards in the areas of writing, directing, editing, design, animation and sound design.Given his extensive production experience and passion for new innovations in tech he has the ability to break down the most complex problems to tangible pieces, the perfect blend for a Creative Director. Pat’s visual direction comes to life in the form of filmic dramatic performances, animation, VFX and compelling design. His ability to tell a story and connect with audiences through emotive, visual, audio and sensory mediums has seen him direct across all platforms including Film, Television, Virtual Reality and interactive. Whilst setting the bar high, he also intrinsically motivates his team to challenge themselves and their ideas, always aiming for greatness whilst having a lot of fun along the way.Armed with a room full of Motion designers and animators, Pat is running a successful studio in the heart of Cremorne, allowing all of his ideas to visualise with ease. ‘My passion is for developing new, original solutions to complex problems and finding the best way to execute them.Whether it’s creating an identity, telling a story, or developing new ways to engage audiences, I look for innovative ideas that will cut through at all times.
