At Microsoft, I was product counsel for Microsoft’s Surface hardware engineering team. I helped navigate the legal and regulatory issues associated with the development, manufacturing, distribution, and sale of Surface devices, providing legal guidance throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization. My areas of expertise include:-Product Liability and Safety-Intellectual Property Protection-Contract Negotiation and Drafting-Regulatory Compliance-Technology Transactions: [Research/Development, Licensing, Development, Manufacturing, -Supply Chain and CoMarketing Agreements]-Supply Chain Management-Consumer Protection/Ad Law

I provided legal guidance and representation to providers, health care organizations, medical device/pharma companies and other stakeholders in the highly regulated healthcare industry. My areas of practice included:-Regulatory Compliance [HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HITECH Act, FDA/Medicare/Medicaid Regulations, State Healthcare Regulations];-Healthcare Transactions;-Healthcare Privacy and Data Security [HIPAA/BAAs];-Risk Management and Compliance; and -Healthcare Fraud and Abuse: Navigating investigations and enforcement actions related to allegations of healthcare fraud, billing fraud, and other forms of healthcare abuse, including self-disclosures.
