Key accountabilitiesCase administration• Provide administrative assistance in the processing of cases in accordance with Fitness to Practise (FtP) procedures.• Log new FtP referrals ensuring that the processes are dealt with effectively and within statutory timescales.• Identify any errors in the case that come to your attention and seek advice from the appropriate case officer, carrying out any agreed actions.• Support the investigation of the allegations by gathering further information and facts to progress the case. This includes sending requests to external suppliers and collating results and responses.• Support case officers with the preparation of papers for consideration by the Investigating Committee and Case Examiners.• Send statutory notices to parties to the case, ensuring that correct procedures and timelines are complied with.• Using excellent communication skills, participate in referrer and witness liaison by keeping them informed of the progression (where appropriate) of the case including close liaison with the scheduling team and other relevant FtP staff.• Deal with all incoming mail in a timely fashion, by opening, distributing, scanning and logging on to FtP database.• Telephone duties as required, ensuring high standards of customer care at all times.• Take personal responsibility to ensure you are kept informed of developments in directorate policies and procedures.
